Our Journey from Dream to Reality

As we approach our 5th anniversary, I can hardly believe how far we’ve come since launching Bohemian Coco. What started as a dream that has blossomed into a thriving online boutique and now also recently opened our FIRST brick and mortar location in the heart of old Torrance (another Big dream of mine) Reflecting my passion for California boho chic style and my love for unique curated pieces.

The Inspiration Behind Bohemian Coco:

The seed for Bohemian Coco was planted during a time of struggle I was going through as an escape to find meaning to my life. As a fashion enthusiast I always felt a connection to the bohemian aesthetic—its free-spirited vibe, artistic flair, and a sense of wanderlust resonated deeply in me. I was captivated by the idea of creating a space where fellow bohemian souls could find clothing and accessories that celebrated individuality and creativity.

With my background in fashion and merchandising I decided to take the plunge and turn my vision into reality. I wanted Bohemian Coco to be more than just a store; aiming to create a community where people could express themselves through style.

Starting an online boutique came with its fair share of challenges. Specially launching just a couple of months before the pandemic I had lots of discouragement moments but I kept on believing in bohemian coco and what I was building was special! spent countless hours building our website, visiting suppliers, curating a unique collection, and developing our brand identity. Naming our boutique was a pivotal moment; after brainstorming countless names, “Bohemian Coco” felt just right—it perfectly encapsulated the free-spirited nature of boho fashion while adding a touch of elegance.

With a few bumps along the road, mostly personal I’m still pushing through as I believe with all of my heart in Bohemian Coco and how far we can go! filled with excitement for what lies ahead. We have plans to expand our collection, introduce new collaborations, and continue to evolve our brand. We want to deepen our commitment to sustainability, ensuring that we leave a positive impact on the world around us and find ways to be at the service to others too. 

As we celebrate our 5th anniversary, we want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you who have been a part of our journey. Your support has meant the world to us!
